Their first military action was taken in Bosnia in 1994. The Formation of the Warsaw Pact in 1955 was the Treaty of Friendship, Co-operation and Mutual Assistance. It was created in reaction to a re-militarized-West Germany joining NATO. Dissolved in June of 1991 after the collapse of the former Soviet Union
